Arpit Shah is an independent research scholar, author, finance professional, devotional singer, and Jain vidhikarak based in Kolkata, India. Academically trained in Corporate Law and Finance, he holds qualifications as a Company Secretary (CS) and PGDBA (Finance), and currently works full-time with a multinational FMCG organisation.

Scholar & Author

Deeply passionate about Jain philosophy, history, and spiritual traditions, Mr. Shah has authored several critically acclaimed and award-winning books. His research-based articles on Jain heritage, rituals, and spirituality have reached more than 2 million readers worldwide through his website and public platforms.

His research on Shatrunjay was referenced in the script development of the Gujarati film Kasoombo.

He has authored approximately 30 research papers, presented at reputed institutions including Nalanda University and Gujarat University, and has contributed meaningfully to both editions of Rushabhayan. An avid traveller, he has explored more than 450 destinations across India, frequently documenting Jain heritage sites and lesser-known historical narratives.

His articles have been published in Jain Journal (a peer-reviewed, UGC-recognised quarterly on Jainology), Titthayar, and Jain Avenue (an initiative of JAINA). He regularly participates in podcasts and conducts seminars and knowledge sessions on Jainism, making historical and spiritual knowledge accessible to contemporary audiences.

Vidhikarak & Devotional Singer

As a dedicated Jain vidhikarak, Mr. Arpit Shah has conducted a wide range of religious ceremonies — including Pujans, Pujas, Bhavnas, and Bhavyatras — across more than 50 locations and prominent Jain tirths throughout India.

He also expresses his devotion through music; his Jain devotional songs, rooted in traditional values and spiritualism, are available on YouTube.

Honours & Recognitions

Mr. Arpit Shah has received several honours for his contributions to Jain literature and research, including the Shri Jambuvijayji Sahitya Puraskar and the Jainik Influencer Award, among others.

He has received letters of appreciation from Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Harsh Sanghvi, and the late former Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani.

He has also received blessings from several revered Gacchadhipatis and Acharyas, including Acharya Shri Ratnasundarsuri Maharaja (Padma Bhushan awardee), among others.

Affiliations

Mr. Arpit Shah is the founder of Jain Khoj, an aggregator of research works on Jainism. He serves as a Hon'ble Trustee of Shri Akhil Bharatiya Shwetambar Murtipujak Tapagacch Jain Mahasangh, Ahmedabad.
